There were so many great homes this year it really made it difficult to decide. There is great holiday spirit in the neighborhood and wonderful work to all of those who decorated their yards and homes.

We have been asked by our surrounding communities, if we would like to join them having a joint garage sale once again. Last year’s event was a successful one. The event will be advertised on Craig’s List, and we are going to be doing marketing clustering and mapping.

Here is the information, to get prepared
Date: Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (if you would like, you may start at an earlier time)

**Please feel free to post signs directing them to your street of garage sales. Please have your signs
removed by end of day on Sunday, September 8. Thank you!

Please reach out to your neighbors to have them participate for this fun event.

Here are some tips to have a successful garage sale

1. Collect the clutter around your home.
2. Have a plan
   • A successful garage sale does not happen without organization.
   • At least a week before the sale, go through your home from top to bottom and clear out clutter.
   • At least 2-3 days beforehand, take an afternoon to price everything and organize it.
   • On the day before, get cash to have on hand to manage your cash drawer. For example: a roll of pennies, roll of nickels, roll of dimes, roll of quarters, 20 $1 bills, 20 in $5-dollar bills).
3. Do not wait until the last minute to pull off a garage sale 🙂
4. Clearly mark your prices.
5. Price things to sell.
6. Mark things down as the time goes and closing time approaches.

It was another wonderful July 4th event put on at John Marty Park by our neighbors of the Charlais Community Network.  The Arbor Ridge HOA sponsored the Hot Dog Stand again this year with donations from Showplace Landscaping and Association Management Services NW.

Arbor Ridge – Community Garage Sale
Saturday, September 8th @ 9am-2pm

Hello Neighbors!

Is your garage in need of serious help? Still hanging on to those old golf clubs?
The bean bag chair from your college days? Time to get rid of some stuff?

Please join us on Sept. 8th for the Arbor Ridge HOA community garage sale.
Each participating household will be holding their own sale.

We will be providing yard signs, a community garage sale map, advertising on
Craigslist and in the Oregonian.

Another great event, with super awesome weather for the annual Charlais Community Network’s with Arbor Ridge HOA.  There was a great parade, breakfast and then play time for family and kids in the park.  Arbor Ridge HOA hosted the Hot dog stand again this year which helped feed all those hungry neighbors.

We are pleased to announce our upcoming Bethany Area Communities Community Garage Sale 2017!

This is regional event and effort by multiple neighborhoods as a joint effort to have a Garage / Yard Sale.  Arbor Ridge HOA is proud to support it but will not be organizing the event.  You should still promote your own sale, but please make sure to clean up any signage at the end of your sale.

Date: Saturday, September 9th, 2017

Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

*Please note: If you would like, you may have your home garage sale continue past 2:00 p.m., and on Sunday, September 10th, 2017.

Another great event this year with our neighbors in Charlais who started the event in the park several years ago.  We love joining the event with our neighbors and we hope you also enjoyed the event as well.  Arbor Ridge HOA Sponsored a Hot Dog stand again this year and we appreciate the Walker Family for running the show.  We also received donations from The Management Group and Showplace Landscaping again this year, and we thank them for their donations to the Event again.
