The Charlais Community Network neighborhood annual July 4th parade and festival at John Marty Park Saturday, July 4th, 2026.
Everyone is welcome to this free celebration!
Event Schedule – Saturday, July 4, 2026
- 9:45 AM: Parade line-up on Charlais Street (anyone can walk or ride in the parade)
- 10:00: Welcome, flag ceremony & National Anthem
- 10:15: Parade route through the Charlais neighborhood (see map below)
- 10:15-12:30: Festival fun (games, treats, inflatables, face painting, crafts, etc.)
- 10:45-11:15: Magic Show: John W. Stevens
- 11:15 & 12:10: Westview Dance Demo & Class
- 11:30-12:00 noon: Coins & Candy in the Hay (game)
- 11:45-12:10: Watermelon Eating Contest
- 12:30 PM: Festival ends
Volunteers needed!
To keep all activities open throughout the event, CCN relies on volunteers to supervise games and activities, hand out treats, do face-painting, and more. Please sign up here to pick a volunteer shift and help out!
Who can volunteer?
Inflatable activities must be supervised by adults 18+, but younger volunteers (age 12+) may run other activities, such as the duck pond game, face painting, and handing out treats. Check the sign-up sheet for information about each activity.
Super bonus for volunteers: To thank volunteers, CCN offers this added benefit:
- A single-use “front of the line” pass for you and/or your child to use at a line of your choice. Pick up your front of the line pass at the Charlais Community Network information booth when you check in for your shift.
Donations Appreciated
The Charlais Community Network collects donations from neighbors and sponsorships from local businesses and community organizations to cover the festival costs. A suggested donation is $25 per family. Thanks to all those who have already contributed. Look for donation buckets during the event or find CCN on VENMO (@Charlais-Community).
